ToniBabelony
Old man Nobutaro Hara of 92 years old still builds everything himself and wants to keep on doing it until he dies. The female presenter seems to know a bit more about trains than her male counterpart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8jg65pKzpA A great note at the end of the video: a model train museum is opening soon in Yokohama! Lucky me! I'd probably only have to hop on the Soutetsu to get there in the future. :3 4 Link to comment

bikkuri bahn
I visited an exhibition of his models at an Osaka museum last month (the segment mentions this): http://www.jnsforum.com/index.php/topic,5292.0.html The museum in Yokohama will be built to showcase his collection which currently resides in his (very large) home in Ashiya*, including the incredible FS E626 model built from German silver, as well as a model of Korea's first EMU, which he actually rode pre-WW2 (I think the prototype no longer exists, possibly destroyed in the Korean War). *Mr. Hara married the heiress of the famous Kokuyo stationery/office supply corporation, which likely gave him the wherewithal to pursue his hobby. Nick_Burman
Although this guy is a highly accomplished builder one notices that he also has some commercial stuff on his layout. His interurbans and trolleys are something absolutely wonderful... Cheers NB Link to comment
