bikkuri bahn
Political move apparently to give Bombardier a second chance: http://www.metro.co.uk/news/873951-crossrail-trains-delayed-to-give-britain-a-chance Bombardier is considered a "British builder" though actually they are a Canadian company with their rail products division based in Berlin- their "Britishness" is solely derived from their ownership of the former BREL Derby plant, which apparently is the last original facility on UK soil capable of building trains. As many of you know, Bombardier became a major passenger rolling stock manufacturer after going on a shopping spree of acquiring Western European rolling stock makers a few years back. *the common consensus on UK rail enthusiast forums is that Bombardier products are inferior to equivalent Siemens products.
