Hobby Dreamer
Nice photos.. I've got to ask a dumb question: is the JR passenger train (I think its an E231 or something) under "Arriving" a subway car?? Sorry, never been to Japan and all the photos I've seen were always above ground. I always assumed it was a suburban run.. Thanks Rick Link to comment
Guest ___
What’s with the QR codes? I use the tags to link directly to my website, and as an alternative to watermarking. Nice photos.. john_ibw
Nice photos. Will you retain a black and white theme? Works well in your case, I see! Link to comment
The_Ghan
Very good photography, especially "Subway Blues" and "Arriving" ... That guy in the foreground of Arriving, what's he thinking about, I wonder? Very good. Cheers The_Ghan Link to comment
Guest ___
Yes, all the images will be black and white. With Japanese railway photography, I prefer to work in black and white. I refer to anything color as essentially roster shots. I prefer to meld a combination of street photography with railway photography. I can't really do that here in the states.I hear it is even worse in France these days to do street photography. Speaking of which, there will be a slow transition over to street photography in mid-October. When those run out, I'm not sure what I'll do. I Expect to be out of material by December. john_ibw
When I revisited your blog today, it redirected via the iPad site and it looks good. "Train Crazy" however lost sharpness when scaled to full size as the landing photo via iPad site. Will a higher res image for that one circumvent the sharpness issue? Just a suggestion. Guest ___
The older shots, or rather the first 45 images are at 500pixils wide. The second batch is already done and scheduled to post next month at 600. I do not post anything higher than 600px I had two copyright litigation issues against a few stock house agencies a few years back that cost me more than the value of the image so I am a bit of a tight ass with internet postings.
