getting a google map into a post

I'd like to get a small google map into a post.  For example, here's Tokyo Station: http://maps.google.com/?ll=35.681631,139.767981&spn=0.013386,0.03386&t=h&z=16 .   If you look at that page, in the upper right you'll see that link as well as a version of it for embedding, and you can customize it further.  Ideally, I'd like to include the medium or small version of a specific location in posts, using this

I've tried putting  tags around it, but it didn't work.  Any way to do this?

Maybe for a JNS post you should use the top link.  I've used that before for printing maps or street view images in another browser.

mods anything on this?  I've got a big post cooking that needs some movable maps.  btw you can knock out that second post, I accidentally quoted my first post rather than modifying it.

You can't embed into this forum or many forums to that correct me if i'm wrong but it will usually only work for websites.

Sorry to say, there is currently no way to embed the Map applet into a forum post :(

 

But it is something to consider for the future!!

ive struggled for a few years trying to come up with consistant ways to bookmark various map views etc. sometimes it works and then other times it does not. also google maps does change with time and some bookmarks that worked in the past for interesting street views no longer work. i have taken to screen grabbing anything i really like to save as the bookmark option is not consistent...
