bikkuri bahn
Here are the specific service reductions in terms of remaining service (from noon to 3pm): Tokaido Line (Tokyo-Atami) 70~85% of capacity (i.e. 15~30% reduction) Sobu Rapid (Tokyo-Chiba): 85% Chuo/Sobu local service (Nakano-Chiba) 70~80% Yokosuka Line (Zushi-Kurihama) 75% Chuo Line rapid service (Tokyo-Takao) 80~90% Yamanote Line 95% Keihin Tohoku/Negishi Line (Minami Urawa-Ofuna) 70~80% Nanbu Line (Kawasaki-Tachikawa) 60~85% Yokohama Line (Higashi Kanagawa-Hashimoto) 70% Musashino Line (Fuchuhonmachi-Nishi Funabashi) 80% Keiyo Line (Tokyo-Nishi Funabashi) 70% Saikyo/Kawagoe Lines (Osaki-Omiya) 90% Tohoku Line (Ueno-Furukawa) 85% Joban Rapid (Ueno-Toride) 85% Takasaki Line (Ueno-Kagohara) 85% These figures are interesting as they give you an idea of the original passenger traffic levels/demand of these lines and the relative importance they hold in the Kanto area rail network.
