Can I get a max girth for clearance?

 

Need to make sure it won't kiss my Kato Platform Stations or try to relocate them.

 

I hear it needs about 2-3mm wider than most American Steamers.

 

How about a Non-Japanese category in N Gauge Forum?

There isn't a 1:160 US prototype locomotive or car made that will not fit through a standard-kit Japanese station/etc, *on a straightaway*.

 

The only thing that would cause rubbing is if you have the platform positioned right at the end of a curve. Since an accurate measurement in that case requires trig calculations, you're probably better off using trial and error.
