Nick_Burman
http://openlibrary.org/books/OL7051833M/A_catalogue_descriptive_of_simple_and_compound_locomotives Brooks Locomotive Works catalog from the early 20th century. Although this might sound a bit off-topic, if you follow the link and go to the end of the catalog you'll find lots of examples of locomotives delivered to Japan. It's a real window into the early development of Japanese railways and a nice sample of the "crocks" (an exageration, most of these locos must have been perfectly good...) Western builders poured into Japan before the local authorities decided to take things their own way... Cheers NB 2 Link to comment
marknewton
That's a great find, Nick, a very interesting document to me, and not just for the Japanese engines. Thanks heaps for posting this! All the best, Mark. Link to comment
