Nick_Burman
A few seconds of the Ogoya Railway, caught for the big screen... Love those milk cans being loaded on the railcar's "basket"... Cheers NB 4 Link to comment
westfalen
They have to be empty ones they way he lifts them. Up until the mid 80's the local butter factory here would get six to a dozen cans of cream a day by rail, it was often my job to load or unload them at one end or the other. I like the station master pulling off the home signal for the next train before he goes back inside, probably to have a cup of tea and finish reading the paper, memories of working at stations up the Brisbane Valley branch in the 80's. bikkuri bahn
I like the station master pulling off the home signal for the next train before he goes back inside, I loved that little detail too, was common to see such a thing back in the day. Director Yoji Yamada's films often have scenes with railway content, and even without, are real gems of Showa era atmosphere. Link to comment
miyakoji
I'm afraid of that--if I watch one, I may have to watch all... how many dozen. kind of an OCD or something. Link to comment
