bikkuri bahn
A really nice way to spend the Golden Week holidays, just watching and filming trains at some bucolic location, with early spring in evidence, away from the crowds. Kintetsu is first among the private railways in big time trunk line action in atmosphere and actual operation, rather than just a commuter feeder from the burbs to the city. I just wish yocchel had included some of the older (non VVVF) non-limited express types ('coon eyes) in his coverage, actually those are my favorites. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Same location, one year earlier, different videographer: 10 car ferry move. Make those cars all maroon and I'm in heaven... 1 Link to comment
bill937ca
Another video by Yocchel, but alas no red trains. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzbhpY56Oak 1 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
10 car limited express trains! Apparently these are run only during holiday periods (especially New Years') to Ise region destinations. A nice mix of old and new stock (up to three different types in one consist). Though I like the Kintetsu local types the most, I admit the ltd. express are pretty impressive, and the kd-97 bogies on the 21000 series are some of my favorites, with their twin dampers: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/KINTETSU_21000_020.JPG 1 Link to comment
