rpierce000
I have some fine track, the old brown stuff, and some grey. They seem to work OK together. I also have some Kato track. I ran across this item: Kato 20-045 Snap Track Conversion Track 62mm I have never seen one before, but of course once I started looking they seem pretty easy to get here in the US. SO, has anyone used them to connect Tomix to Kato? If not, how are you doing it? Thanks! Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Connecting with Tomix track (FineTrack, or the older brown track) is precisely what that adaptor was designed for! You will find the fit absolutely perfect, I think :D Link to comment
brill27mcb
All of the types of Tomix track (brown, plain grey and Fine Track) connect just fine to each other. There are differences in the turnout controls (AC 3-wire in early brown track versus more recent DC 2-wire in later brown track, grey and Fine Track. The Fine Track actually clicks together; the earlier types are just a friction fit. As the good Cap'n pointed out, the Kato conversion track is really to connect to any of the Tomix track styles.
