Can someone explain what the definitions of, KIHA, MOHA, MOBO and etc... Link to comment
CaptOblivious Posted November 23, 2008 Share Posted November 23, 2008 A detailed list will have to wait (I'm about to eat lunch!), but in short, the first syllable (or two) describes the kind of car: KI = diesel motorized, MO=electric motorized, SA=trailer, KU=cab car; with passenger cars, it describes the weight of the car. The final syllable (or two) describes the accommodation kind: HA=regular, class RO=green car, NE=sleeper; also, FU at the end means there is a brakeman's compartment. Link to comment

You have to join Yahoo and then the JTrain group to see it. I'm going to work on reproducing it here, in several posts later this week. I suppose I should get permission first... Link to comment
