CaptOblivious
I concur with Alpine's assessment. You might also find Kato 23-125 to be of interest. some details here: http://www.kato-unitrack.co.uk/kato-unitrack-23-125-viaduct-station-kit-1420-0.html Link to comment
alpineaustralia
Have a look at the first 4 photos in the "Your fleet" section of the Gallery for photos of my train station - 2 tracks with turnout to 4 platforms for a general sense of what 23-100, 23-101 and 23-125 looks like when put together. to2leo
Hi Subwayhype and others, Aside from the overhead station, the platform used is the newer Kato products from 23-107 to 23-123. The older version island platform does not have tiled floors and the yellow line. You can take a look at the link below for more info, http://www.katomodels.com/product/nmi/kinko_homu_e.shtml I am still waiting for Kato to release in North American. Also, looking forward to see your plan Subwayhype. Link to comment

SubwayHypes
^^ How is that possible? Is it going to connect at Kita Senju or Hara-juku? Link to comment
stevenh
SubwayHypes, Capt'n was just pulling our legs... Although, could you imagine a shinkansen hurtling through a subway tube? I'm quite sure all passengers would get sucked through afterwards.... Link to comment

No, I was having a bit of fun, of course. Shashinka read (intentionally?) this: wait till you guys see my plans for my double decker, subway + ground level, train layout. as this: wait till you guys see my plans for my double decker subway + ground level, train layout. Bernard
How much different are these Butterfly platforms: http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=butterfly+platforms&Search.x=19&Search.y=14 from the Katos? If you can modify them in height, I think you will get a lot more in a package. Link to comment

I imagine that one would need only construct a small riser to lift them to the proper height for Japanese prototype, and they'd look pretty good! The only remaining questions are of platform width (will it fit between the tracks?) and roof height (will pantographs clear it?) Link to comment
Bernard
Don - Here is the direct link to Walthers and the measurements of the platforms: http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3258 You get 8 platforms to a box and it looks like you would have to build them up which can be done by attaching foam or pylons underneath the platforms. SubwayHypes
^^Wow good find, those are MUCH more affordable than the KATO. all you have to do is cut some thin wood into the same shape, spray it with some cement textured rustoleum, and it shold work. i think i will still go with KATO tho, they just look so much better and i want that yellow blindwalkway on the edge too.
