keitaro
just wondering if anyone seen this yet? In the second picture it has gravel and is on a base. Does anyone know if you can have it off the base or is it attached hard to tell with the first pic. I know you can do this for other tomytech stuctures but want to make sure. I'm looking at purchasing this and 2 more stalls and a station building to begin the roads and layout of buildings. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10136528 Link to comment
cteno4
keitaro, this isnt released yet, the gravel base is in the convention display. im guessing its not part of the kit as the product image looks more like other tomytec product images and does not include it. most of these larger buildings recently have just been that foundation block and no larger base areas (ie hospital, hot spring spas, etc). looks like they give you flagpoles and a bit of wall and gate to put on the street side. ive seen small schools like this in japan and they are usually set back from the street and have a gate and wall/fence like this along the sidewalk. the spa buildings dont even have tabs to connect the building walls to the taller foundation plate (just a tad larger than the wall footprints.) im guessing it may be the same with this model or easy to pop it off if you want a more custom foundation. cheers jeff Link to comment

Guest ___
reminds me a little too much of the old Bachman Palsticville school. Link to comment
cumber_s
The school building was kind of announced with the august 09 Train collection Magazine . As all thematerials were from tomytec the schoolbuilding, was part of the layout. I searched for it everywere (desperately wanting to use it on myl then planed bigger layout) back then. The building should be available sometime this spring, but considering the recent events who knows... The building is definitly going on my whish_list.. Link to comment
cteno4
reminds me a little too much of the old Bachman Palsticville school. philip used my little red bachmann school building in his old town on the old jrm layout and it fit right in! didnt have the wall/gate in front, but the building did not look out of place. cheers jeff Link to comment
keitaro
I like this because it fits my remote look I'm aiming for. I bought the base ball netting set and will be making a small field. i'm going to try attach this next to the schol so they look as if there as part of the school. Biggest issue is waiting for it to come out .... meaning black spot in layout for a long time haha. Link to comment
