Nick_Burman
Some time ago there was a company in Japan called "Cement Terminal" which operated a fleet of "duckshell" coloured cement TaKis with "CT" markings on the side. AFAIK they went bust with the Asian Financial Crisis...what were they exactly and what happened to their car fleet, incorporated into someone's fleet or scrapped? Cheers NB Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Cement Terminal appears to be alive and well. They have a website: http://www.cement-t.co.jp/ The company was formed by a consortium of cement suppliers and JNR to facilitate cement shipments by rail. wikipedia As for the takis, it appears they are either few or no longer in operation (likely scapped given their age), as there has been a continuous rundown of cement train operation into the last decade. This website has a lot of info about cement facilties and rail operations: http://butsuryu.web.fc2.com/ct.html taki 1900: source 2 Link to comment
westfalen
The last link about a third of the way through explains what this place I photographed outside Aizu Wakamatsu is, or was, from the text I gather it ceased operations in 2007. 1 Link to comment
