Nick_Burman
Hi all, what year was the TaKi 35000 tank car put into service? Cheers NB Link to comment
Kamiyacho
Prototype information from Kato: "TAKI 35000 is a "standard tank car", which was jointly designed by train car manufacturers for the first time. Since 1966, 1,108 cars of this 35 ton tank car have been manufactured. Ever since JNR era, it had been used in many regions in Japan until it was recently taken over by the successors, TAKI 43000 or TAKI 1000." 1 Link to comment
marknewton
It surprises me to learn these car date from 1966 - they look very modern. I've pre-ordered four of the Tramway 1/80th scale models, which I'm really looking forward to getting. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10137905 Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

Guest JRF-1935
Forgot to mention "Dr. Tanker" is Professor Yoshioka - go to the bottom of the page and click on Greeting from Yoshioka - you'll see his picture with his own Private Tank Car. Rich C Link to comment
