miyakoji
I was looking around on various Japanese news sites for info on the reactor when I found this: http://www.asahi.com/travel/rail/gallery/110311hokuriku/ Pleasant diversion from the dominant stories of the moment. Didn't know the Kanazawa division was finally getting rid of the 419s. I wonder if they've finally got enough 521s, or maybe complaints, or if the reliability of the 419s is deteriorating. They certainly look rough. Also, you'll see at the top two links, the first is for pics of the Raicho's last runs as Bikkuri posted about, the second is for JR Kyushu's Red Express, also 485 series--although there are some images of other JR Kyushu rolling stock not used on Red Express service to my knowledge. 1 Link to comment
Guest ___
Both Kirishima and Nichirin service trains looked long in the tooth. The 817's and the 782's looked pretty good or at least they did in '08 Link to comment
