scott
What's going on here? This video shows a daytime blue train carrying two different "Echigo" headmarks--on an EF81 in "Super Express Rainbow" livery (with "Echigo" printed on a Hokuriku headmark) and, at the other end, a brown EF64 (with "Echigo" printed on a headmark showing sharp, snowy peaks). scott
...and apparently Tomix is releasing a model of that brown EF64 soon, and Hobby Search says: "Active in the events leading train! No. 37 belongs Brown JR East" Link to comment
stevenh
It gets better... here's a video with an EF81 and a DD51 on either end... the headmark has a Crane on it? I can't find any good information on it yet. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
It's a charter train, run between Ueno and Echigo Yuzawa, on the Takasaki/Joetsu Lines. The headmark with a crane is based on the now discontinued Yuzuru limited express in the Tohoku region. Echigo-go medley: Link to comment
