I think there was a thread about this a while back, involving the D51 character (Hiro?). I guess they have to compete on cost basis with that other program, Chuggington(?), or whatever it's called. westfalen Posted March 4, 2011 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I caught an episode of the new series while I was in Japan with the voices dubbed into Japanese, now that was weird. With the old episodes I could at least tell people I watched them to get modeling ideas. Now it's just another cartoon with the stories getting further and further removed from Reverend Awdry's original ideas based on things that might have happened on a real railway. IMHO none of the subsequent narrators have been as good as Ringo Starr in the first series either. Link to comment
