miyakoji
I've never been to Kyushu and don't know too much about JR Kyushu's operations, but I think they've got a knack for good liveries and interiors. The new Ibusuki no Tamatebako: from http://railf.jp/news/2011/02/19/091800.html Two more good pics on this blog: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/canon_miyazaki/19179338.html According to an article in the January 2011 Japan Railfan, this will be classified as a limited express, making 3 round trips daily between Kagoshima Chuo and Ibusuki. Unfortunately I have no images of the interior, although the magazine has artist's renderings and it looks good with an all-new layout featuring woodwork, bookshelves, and seats facing out the windows. Speaking of the windows, I'm a little suprised they weren't enlarged, but at least externally this retains the standard KIHA47 appearance/proportions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibusuki,_Kagoshima http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamatebako 2 Link to comment
Guest ___
The Charlie X of Kiha units, I say it is. Link to comment
westfalen
It's amazing what they can do with these units, they are certainly getting their money's worth out of them. I wonder how long before Micro-Ace do a model? It would be an attention getter at shows, "Wasn't that train white last time it went past?" Link to comment
Guest ___
I'd buy it, it;'s Kyushu, it's a KiHa4x series. Link to comment
Guest ___
I can't believe Capt, didn't bite at the Charlie X comment. Link to comment

Guest ___
I'd buy this if it were out and available. Link to comment
