PC Air of Thailand plans to hire transsexual stewardess!!

Hi guys,

Just read a news report. Something that caught my attention was the fact that PC Air of Thailand plans to hire transsexual stewardesses! In my opinion , it sounds rather interesting lol. What 's your opinion. Do express your views here..

Thailand has a large transsexual community.  The culture is much more tolerant of alternate lifestyles than Judeo-Christian cultures or the conservative Confucian-influenced cultures of NE Asia.

This would be a laugh, as most of them don't mind telling off.

I don't see a problem with that, regardless of what they wear, they're still regular people and should therefore have as much of a chance of being a stewardess (or steward I guess ;)) as anybody else.

Yep, in Thailand they categorise genders into three sorts, instead of two (as here in the Occident, generally speaking).

I agree, but it's not quite clear if this hiring move is supposed to be a sign of enlightened management, or if it's just using these people as a novelty in the interest of marketing. I hope it's the former.
