Signs and Ads and other reference details for layouts

cteno4, jeff, has asked if I could shoot building signs and adverts. Does anyone have any requests for signs and adverts?

I'll try my best.

If there are other types of photos, it's best if I make a list and slowly work my way down. I think that if I concentrate on one goal, I won't miss opportunities in getting it right.

My main problem is I can shoot loads of photos, but uploading them without maxing out my Photobucket account has up to now limited my posts.

Best wishes,

Grant

Hi Grant,

That is much appreciated... There is nothing quite like someone 'on the ground' who can assist in providing reference photographs and other useful pieces of information.

If you are able in the future, I am especially interested in road bridges crossing railway tracks...their basic design/materials for construction etc. Nothing specific, just one of two snaps to provide a general idea, as opposed to specific types. In addition, residential estates would be great as well. I'm thinking blocks of flats/appartments set in their own grounds, as opposed to the traditional tightly packed streets. I don't even know if this is the norm in large Japanese towns/cities, so may be barking up the wrong tree here...

Of course, anything Chuo line related is always welcome...preferably a little more out of town beyond the suburban areas... :grin

I have always found your photo threads very interesting and useful...they pick up the everyday, those sorts of details that get overlooked by so many.

You'll see these in the outer suburbs/transition zone to farmland, such as in Saitama/Tochigi/Ibaraki/Chiba prefectures.  Sometimes also in former industrial or railway property rezoned for residential use in more inner suburban locations.

(this is intended for gmat- likely you already know about this development pattern- you can see alot of ads for new developments inside railway cars).
