Base Measurements of Yard Trusses.

Inobu asked me to measure some truss pylons.

I only measured the width as I didn't remember his request clearly. I realized my error when I reread his request. Sorry, will go out today and see what I can find.

I've been looking but hadn't found anything good until I went to Iwaki Station.

 

1. Width of rectangular base truss #1. 46.5 X 74.5 cm.

 

2. Width of square base truss #1. 46 X 46 cm.  

 

3. Pole truss. 112 cm circumference.

 

Rectangular base truss #1 again.

 

4, square base truss #2. 44.5 X 44.5 cm.

 

5. rectangular base truss #2. 48 X roughly 77.5 cm

Diagonal stiffener prevents accurate measurement of the width on this side.

 

Just after I took some measurements, a conductor said that this area was off limits for passengers. I quickly got out of the area, but stepped back to shoot this belated photo. I originally came to this spot to shoot a Suigun train on the opposite tracks.

6. Square base truss #3. Taken at Koriyama station. 31 X 31 cm.

 

I can see how it would be better if I can stick my tape measure to the part being measured to show it in the photo.
