bill937ca
A new thread at the request of CaptOblivious Wiring diagrams are simple line diagrams showing where Japanese trains can go. As 87% or more of Japanese trains are electric it is easier to draw the wire. Here's a wiring diagram for a segment of the Seibu line out of Ikebukuro. http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~eg6f-tkhs/tetu/seibuike_haisen.GIF For those who just have to have JR, here are some Osaka area wiring diagrams. In fact you should find most of Osaka and if you fish around you may find a line, depot or terminal to your liking. Master map: http://www.geocities.jp/neko_terashima/map_jr.html Shin-Osaka area http://www.geocities.jp/neko_terashima/jr-osaka.html Osaka Loop (most) http://www.geocities.jp/neko_terashima/jr-osakaloop.html Link to comment
stevenh
Bill, This information is awesome...I love the wiring of the ShinOsaka area. I didn't realise it was single-line from Tennoji up to the Umeda yards, as that's where the Haruka, Ocean Arrow, etc..etc... run. No wonder they were always one-at-a-time. Damn it makes me want to go back, buy another $40 bicycle and just perch on the wire fence :) Thanks again and keep the info/culture from the west coming :) Link to comment
CaptOblivious
Here's a great site with an ever-loving ton of wiring diagrams and station diagrams: http://ef63.ld.infoseek.co.jp/TRAIN/RAIL/index.htm It's divided into lots of frames, which makes translation difficult; it helps to know the Kanji for the line or station you are interested in; then you can just translate the frame with the diagram you want.
