Hi

Two questions

1) What is the difference between Seres 113-1500 and series 113-2000?

2) In general with these commuter sets, if you have a 7 car set with a powered car and end cars,  and a 4 car Set A with a powered car and end cars, how do you run them? Together or separate?

Thanks.

The 113-2000 series was a group built from 1978 intended for above ground operations (no subway running) in warmer climate regions (i.e. western Japan). It also had greater seat pitch and width than earlier marks.  The 113-1500 series was an improvement of the 1000 series (this type was introduced for running on the newly opened Sobu underground route in 1972) which incorporated features of the 2000 series.  Production began in 1979, and units were assigned to the Kanto region.

Which one do you have? I guess it's the number 92824 and 92825. If so, I guess you could follow your heart or Tomix's instruction (image was taken from HS):

I have the  Kato 113-1500 10-195 set. I have given up on 10-196 and 10-197 I thought I could augment it with the Kato 113-2000 10-807 for far less than the tomix set. Are the cars externally similar, do they mu nicely in DC? Thanks

Also, if I go this route, does someone have a part number and supplier on the correct bogie so I can lash up lead cars? Thanks

I think I found the replacement Kato 11-031. BOth are described as Bogie DT-21. Both are Rapido. 11-031 is listed as long coupler. Hopefully they work. If anyone has differing info, please share.
