Fuji-san at Sunset

One thing about Winter in Japan are the number of very clear days. Last week, the sun was supposed to set directly over M. Fuji. I tried to take photos last week, but clouds and the alignment wasn't right. We're too far south or west of Tokyo.

I wonder if the green flare is related to the green flash sometimes seen at sunset?
