HST.
I have recently bought a Panasonic GH-1 Camera which I am still getting to grips with and need some advice on shutter speeds when using the Movie function. As well as the fully auto mode, there is a full range of manual settings for video, but the book is a little vague on shutter speeds. To be honest, I didn't even realise that shutter speed came into it when filming a video, so that shows how little I know about the subject! Up to now I have stuck with the fully auto setting, but notice there is some slight jerkiness when playing back, and if you have seen any of my video clips in the Gallery, it doesn't seem to make much difference if the train is moving slowly or at high speed. I've been sticking to 720p jpeg, full HD, 1080i (max on this model) is even worse, not worth using on a moving subject. Sorry it's a bit long drawn out, but I don't get much chance to practice, it's normally a case of filming something i want to keep, so need to get it right. Dave. Link to comment

Hmm The GH-1 allows you to change the shutter speeds in movie mode, though it is functioning in a similar manner as fps. I'm not a huge fan of the EVIL?ILC cameras. Link to comment
