clem24
What the heck is this? http://tetsudou-musume.net/product/con04.html http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10129151 I think Tomytec might be running out of ideas for making even more money. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Hey, if it brings in sales revenue to allow the production of more low volume product (i.e. I would really like to see a re-run of the 10 series sleeping cars in HO...), I'm all for it- bring it on! Link to comment
Guest ___
I'll tell ya what it is, too bloody expensive for my tastes. Better off kiss ass to a station attendant who could just give ya one when they cycle through the posters. Link to comment

westfalen
As weird as it seems to us, and I'm sure in Australia woman's rights groups would get Tomix put out of business five seconds after they hit the shelves, it's quite normal and popular in Japan. They are just giving the local market what they want. It's a bit like Micro-Trains and their collectors series. Link to comment
Krackel Hopper
hey hey, Let me just interject here. My girlfriend has been collecting the Tetsudo Musume Container Collection: So I know a little bit about this product line. The station poster set is just a set of posters. It is not N scale. The posters are size B3 (364mm x 515mm) and are images of the girls at their designated stations. The franchise is not sexual in nature. None of the figures or pictures are in provocative poses nor are they showing even a hint of cleavage. Each girl comes with a description of how great she is at doing her job for said railway company. If anything, this franchise is more "girl power" than "pin-up girl". The TV series that accompanied this franchise, titled "Tetsudo Musume: Girls Be Ambitious!" is aimed at teen girls. http://tetsudomusume.siteinfo.jp/ Link to comment
Guest ___
I founds the game released last year for the DS to be a bit boring. The subsequent manga was no more interesting. Link to comment
quinntopia
Thanks Krackel! I like the photo as this is something I got for my 10 y.o. daughter as she has a new found passion for Japanese anime (and it gives her a train she can get into on daddy's layout!). Since I prefer to be ignorant of the prototype, I can pretend that these are prototypical...heck, are they any sillier than some of the 'beer trains' that come from the European manufacturers? Or the 'state quarters' or 'football team' boxcars here in the states? Yeah, I like'em. Not sure what I'll do with them...first thing is to probably get some flat cars! Here's my review for anyone interested: http://quinntopia.blogspot.com/2010/10/tetsudou-musume-container-collection.html Link to comment
