gmat
From Japan Today. I guess that's why there are so many fences along the tracks and over bridges, especially the Shinkansen ones. Hope there are no copycats. http://www.japantoday.com/category/crime/view/stone-thrown-at-moving-seibu-shinjuku-line-train-two-passengers-hurt Best wishes, Grant Link to comment

gmat
Follow up on the stone throwing incident last month. 3 high school boys held for throwing stones at passenger train http://www.japantoday.com/category/crime/view/3-high-school-boys-held-for-throwing-stones-at-passenger-train Best wishes, Grant Link to comment
westfalen
Would be interesting to know what they are charged with, I would assume that at 16 they are still minors under the law in Japan, here that would mean all the police could do is give them a good talking to and send them home. Good that they are caught though, here rock throwers attack a couple of trains then disappear for a while then come back, they can spend a whole night in one location seemingly immune to getting caught. Perhaps in Japan where trains themselves have a higher status than here catching those who throw rocks at them is a higher priority. Link to comment
