bikkuri bahn Posted January 2, 2011 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Was trying (with no luck) to find some early footage, hopefully steam, of action on the Sekihoku Line. Anyway here's another little gem of a contribution by tempoku2000, of a late summer scene at Koetoi Station on the (now abandoned) Tempoku Line in northern Hokkaido. It's September, 1988: JR is only a few years old, semaphore signaling is still in use, and the arriving train is a kiha 22, the workhorse at that time on JR Hokkaido local lines, with its distinctive first-generation cab front and unmistakable DMF17 engine sound...
