Bernard
Has anybody used the Woodland scenic product E-Z Water? http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/Item/C1206/page/1 I have used Realistic water with good results but don't like the price for a bottle (16.00 - 21.00 USD per bottle) The E-Z water is less but how are the results? cteno4
Bernard, havnt used it myself, but it comes up on the yahoo scenery group now and then and most folks giving it a thumbs up. one guy has had it on a shop layout that was stored in a hot trailer for a while and no problems with it or with yellowing over 5 years now. the best thing folks say about it is that its very tough and easy to get dust off of. also if the surface starts to dull you can just hit it with the heat gun to re-melt the surface and new shine back. also can spot melt it to embed new features, which is pretty much impossible with poured resins. ive always wanted to grab some to play with as it sounds like the stuff to use if you want to make anything in parts with water effect and potentially combine later into a larger body of water. also sounds easy to make ripples and waves. might not work so well directly on top of foam base though! cheers jeff Link to comment
Bernard
Jeff - The directions from WS say to prep the area exactly the same way you would for Realistic water, hydrocal cloth on top of foam & paint the cloth. I was told about yellowing and it can be messy since you have to heat up and melt the pellets. Link to comment
Mudkip Orange
We used it on an HO layout ages and ages ago. The texture comes out rather coarse so it's good if you're modeling a river or other rushing water, not so much for a tranquil stream. Link to comment
