Sascha1974
Hi, now it's winter time and here in Germany our highspeed train 'ICE' often has trouble with the snow weather. So I'm interested how the Shinkansen cares with snow. I read about hot water sprinklers. Is this really only hot water or is it salty water or something like they use for aircrafts before starting? disturbman
Salty water could be a bit agressive to the train since salt is corrosive. Link to comment

bikkuri bahn
As far as I know it's just warm water. Some scenes of sprinklers in action at Maibara Station, Tokaido Shinkansen: Link to comment
