ToniBabelony
It's a good thing calling in public transport is seen as a bad manner and forbidden in Japan. You can always enjoy a moment of rest in public transport (providing there are no loud high-schoolers or it's not rush-hour). Here in Europe you have to listen to useless conversations all the time, so I always listen to music while en route. Occasionally when I'm travelling with company I don't listen to music of course. If someone decides to have a useless conversation with a high Db level I usually give them a very angry look if they ever bother to look at the other travellers. If I get asked if I "have a problem" I tell them that they are the problem. So far I haven't had an escalation of the situation, but this is bound to happen somewhere in the future... Link to comment
