Taken from just one source: "Maryland is a high tax state with the 4th highest tax burden in the nation, according to the Tax Foundation. MD is among the few states that have both an estate and an inheritance tax. Virginia could be considered tax-friendly, at least compared to MD. It has the 18th highest state/local tax burden. There are no inheritance or estate taxes." But I think by now we should have started a new thread......... Link to comment

If they'd awarded it to me, I would've been reverse-commuting from Fort Totten or the Eastern Market area, to take advantage of the District's favorable income tax rates. Yeah you read that right.
