It's back.. The old 300 Series Shinkansen and 489 "Hakusan"

Anyone else see this?

I was rather shocked. Why would they re-run this set? This was actually my *very* first Japanese train set. I paid a pretty penny for it from Sogo in Hong Kong back in 1995. So now will they re-run the add-on cars (please do!).

Here's another interesting set:

This set has been marked as "discontinued" from the catalog for a number of years now. Very surprised to it back!

Maybe they HS found it somewhere at the back of their warehouse.  I don't expect them to be available for long. :grin

Judging by their disclaimer over the state of the packaging, I suspect you are right...

Ciao,

I think that's part of a stock bought from another shop or wholesaler that's closed for bankrupt

(you can find some items like this on yahoo auction from "Market Enterprice" seller)

For example, my friend Maurizio and Vittorio are now on business to buy directly all the old stock of Mehano in Slovenja and I'm sure you can find this item on their shop soon, the same business has been completed some years ago with the old remaining stock of Lima, Rivarossi and Arnold before Hornby bought all.

Ciao

Massimo
