Just a quickie, nothing special and all very straight forward. A function decoder install in one of the end-cars (the blue one, series 50 or something) of Kato's Orient Express. Only 1 out of 4 possible functions is used, a bit of a waste =)

The light board with the traces already cut. I cut them so I can re-use the resistor already on the board, which I tend to do with all locomotives and cars. I also tend to run at lower than usual voltage, so the LEDs don't burn out ;) There's also still a capacitor on here, which I removed after taking the picture.

Light board with the wires soldered on and the capacitor removed. As usual, red and black are track power, blue is common anode, yellow is cathode.

The decoder placed in the car. There are windows around where the decoder is, so you can see it. The windows are small however, so it's not very obvious. I can always darken those windows and paint the wires if needed.
