cteno4
just thought i would finish the thread. the ban is lifted as of dec 1. from japan post: "Japan Post Service Company (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo-to, Representative Director: Shinichi Nabekura) has announced that the acceptance of US-addressed postal items over 453 grams (16 ounces) in weight (that was being temporarily suspended from November 17, 2010) was resumed starting from December 1, 2010 as it became possible to secure means of air transportation for this purpose. Accordingly, there are no more restrictions for US or American overseas territories-bound postal items acceptance. However, please note that due to the airport security enforcements, changes to the delivery routes as well as the limitations of the aircrafts' capacity, it is expected that for the time being the delivery of postal items approved for acceptance may take a few days longer than usual, with a few extra days on top of that in case of Hawaii and US overseas territories." cheers jeff Link to comment
