I can get it from online shops in the Netherlands for about €280. Not expensive at all because that is the Japanese price without any European taxes at all. That's locally though, I don't know how it would be for people living outside the EU.

I saw on Ebay from a German seller for 395.00 USD + shipping I'm sure the VAT was added in.

I have bought some trains from European EBay vendors and have found out a couple of things. Most of them have their own shops or online shops. With these vendors you may be able to buy from them directly (away from eBay) and get the items VAT (tax) free. This can discount the item by 20%. Also alot non business Ebay vendors won't accept PayPal which can make money transfers a pain.

Yes just seen the latest design for the first edition sets to run in Mexico of the Mexican version of ICE / TGV/ Shinkansan trains.

 

Fastest train this side of Tijuana it is noted.

 

Offically the Mexican bullet train is called Mexican Aeroplane train, but it is also noted as being the new  Red Hot Chilli Pepper train.

 

So fast it looks like an Aeroplane.

Considering the green livery of the train - i think its more pakistan/bangladesh

 

Indian trains are generally maroon, cream/maroon, or light/dark blue liveries

 

I believe the train is of India.
