cumber_s
But takling about refusing the right to fotograph: This happens in Japan!! Not at any railway station , the personel there mostly seems to like beeing fotographed. A few times conductors or drivers posed for me and smiled.(mostly I aseked them (via smile , bow and gestured or verbaly ), Paradise But I also hab one bad example, the store detective at the LAOX Akihabara, wearing a real looking SS Uniform, Commander , and seemingly of the KZ guards . Which I personly think *vomit* is disguisting. I Took a Photography of him: (Censoring of the SS and swastica i due to german law requirements) This "person" was rude (even for none japanese persons) theaded to take the camera from me . I had to erase his picture (unerrased it immediatly at home)and he escorted me of the premise. [When photografing people I normaly ask , but 3d reich wearing "people" have no! human rights in my position, (I lost like a quater of my family buy these scum!] Link to comment
CaptOblivious
…wow. Off topic, to be sure, but jaw dropping in the subject's total lack of sensitivity. Was it simply a Halloween costume in bad taste, or are these the uniforms the store security normally wear? Link to comment
cumber_s
No this Pic was taken in august 2009 , so bit early for helloween. I hope this is not! normal , I only caught "him" at this store. The other store detective at "tokio hands" (I asked "immediate "for directions to the bathroom) was very friendly. By meeting the SS guy I was like realy affraid , like shaking (one of the reasons the pic was shaken) Imagine yourself beeing yelled on by an SS guard , yelling right real loud yelling like a marines drill serg. bikkuri bahn
Unfortunately there is a subculture of cosplayers who like to dress up as Nazi's (a certain prince in GB also did once...), Akihabara may harbor these people, and the guard costume is likely some misguided attempt to be part of that. Laox itself is a store in decline, its majority shareholder is some Chinese company, probably will disappear from Japan in the near future, with only Chinese mainland stores remaining. Interesting move for a Chinese company...helping to revive LAOX by investment and Overseas expansion while learning Japanese Management style to compete in China. This move might also help strengthen the relationship and understanding between the two nations. http://www.asahi.com/english/TKY201002070169.html As for the SS custom person in LAOX, I thought a general rule of thumb is not to take pictures of cosmplay ppl in Akiba unless you get a permission? Sort of like not taking pictures of prostitutes in Amsterdam's Red Light district unless you want your camera destroy. Link to comment
