bikkuri bahn
A nicely done layout (Joetsu[?] Line) using the Japan-only 1/80 13mm JM gauge. *there are many more videos available for viewing I wasn't aware of this scale, but it uses the widely available 1/80 standard but with 13mm gauge track. The other mainline standards are the mass market 1/80 16.5mm and the more niche (expensive steamers) 1/87 12mm. I read in one blog that a 13mm modeler, on a trip to Osaka's Joshin Super Kid's Land, encountered sales staff that didn't know this scale even existed (it is, in the main, an electronics retailer after all, not a dedicated hobby shop). Here is the website for the above layout: http://www7.atpages.jp/musashino/ series of features detailing the step by step building of this layout: http://m-sakata-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/joetu/index.html 5 Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
So, what he did was use regular H0 rolling stock and just squeezed the wheels in a bit to fit on 13mm track? It looked to me like the trucks/bogies were just the standard H0 ones. Sure does look fantastic with all the weathering and the wooden structures. Link to comment
Tecchan
Isn't it what we call HOm ? HO scale (1/80) but for metric railways. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
H0m is 12mm I believe. At least, it seems they mostly use TT track, and TT is 12mm. Link to comment
marknewton
Yes, the gauge for HOm is 12mm, but the people I know who model in that scale and gauge use either Bemo, Tillig or Peco HOm track rather than TT track. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

bikkuri bahn
It looks like the service provider they used for the website has discontinued the service the site was using. That's a pity. It was a nice sequence. Hopefully he'll move the material to another site. Link to comment
