bigford
well i had the extra cash so i placed an order with hobby search for the power set and the add-on set. Only thing i dont like is the way HS has there ordering and paying at a later time i want to order and pay and be done with it. now i have to wait for a email request for payment........... So after searching for a dcc fix for this car and only finding the two here from martijn and inobu i think this will stay dc only. I cant belive kato makes newer trains with no provision for DCC Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
The M250 is just a re-release of an older train. And to be honest, I really don't know how the M250 can be made dcc friendly unless they redesign the entire thing form the ground up. That said, installing a decoder isn't all that bad, just requires a bit of care :) Link to comment

If you use a credit card you don't have to wait. With Paypal there is an issue - if they discover that the stock count was wrong (it has happened) and they can't fill the order, it's easy to refund a credit card (or not even charge it until the order is ready). With Paypal you can't delay the charge and "refunds" can be thorny for both merchant and customer - given the amount of PP business they do compare to CC and of course local, you can't blame HS for not wanting to take those risks just to speed up ordering for a small number of international customers. So they only do a Paypal charge after they are 100% sure the order is going to be shipped. Link to comment
