KenS
Following the July issue which had IST's layout photo and a British outline layout with Kato and Modemo trams, the September issue of the British magazine Model Rail has more. There's a very positive review of Unitram on page 20 (they gave it an 86%) and a note and photo on page 56 about a Japanese layout that was to appear at a Sep 11/12 show. There's also an article about using Tomix Scharfenberg couplers on British DMUs (apparently they're a drop-in replacement). Link to comment
Claude_Dreyfus
I have not seen this edition as yet, however I believe the layout in question was Ron Upton's 'Temple Falls' - the show was the International N Gauge Show. There is often a token Japanese layout there, but at present there are only about five or six to choose from; it is one of a painfully limited number of Japanese layouts on the UK exhibition circuit. The downside is that you very quickly get to see them all if you attend model exhibition with any regularity... Link to comment
