keiman
Tomytec Portram LRT01 chassis - has anyone managed to fit a decoder on this yet? Thinking of getting my DCC gear out of mothballs. The main controller is set up for 10v max was used on Z gauge. Last install I completed was a Microtrains F7 which involved modifing the chassis- removing excess metal to get it to fit, also fitted a decoder in a marklin steam loco cab, so thinking N should be alot easier.Still hope I still have a few Z gauge decoders Link to comment
nik_n_dad
I've been playing around with this, and it looks like the DZ125 should fit into the little pocket on the shell. It will be tight. In order to wire it, (at least as I was messing with it), you'll end up doing a little snipping and confined soldering- very easy to melt part of the chassis. I'm hoping to get back to it in a couple of weeks. If you get there first, let me (us all) know. Link to comment
