westfalen
I just got sent this link. http://www.geek.com/articles/geek-cetera/hotel-in-japan-offers-a-model-train-in-their-guest-suite-2010086/ A bit expensive but think of the money you'd save by staying in the room running trains instead of going out for the evening. to2leo
I am willing to share that hotel room, I will be probably by the trains all night anyways! Link to comment
Fat Al
It's not that bad, if you plan on staying for the whole day in the room. That way, you'll save the money you would have spent somewhere else in Akihabara anyway. BTW, that Washington Hotel has just finished a complete renovation a couple of months ago. It looks a lot better now than it used to! Link to comment
dickturpin
How can I swing a business trip to Akihabara? Does it have a power station that needs my attention. Link to comment
Guest ___
That's not a whole hell of alot more than I paid for my room per night in Ueno two years ago, and this room looks a lot bigger than my room which was roughly half the size of my bathroom here in the house. By comparison the cost of this Akiba room is about the same as it costs to stay in a sleep car on Amtrak per night and at least in Akiba, you get to run the trains, not be confined to a room twice the size of my room in Ueno.
