gmat
Spotted from the Yamanote Line, SW of Meguro Station and halfway to Gotanda Station on the west side of the tracks. Sorry for the angle. Had to hold it over the fence to try and snap a shot. Everything you need, lights, warning flasher and a very small put put engine. Best wishes, Grant Link to comment

westfalen
Imagine taking that for a lap around the Yamanote after the last train for the night. I saw this earlier model at the Naebo shops in Sapporo in 1994. The Nanbu Jukan Railway had a rather more basic version when I visited there in 1996. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
In Hokkaido, on the abandoned Horonai Line, you can rent a speeder to take you up the line 2.5km to a point near the Mikasa Railway Museum. Website (Japanese): http://www.karamatsu-train.co.jp/mikasa/mtr.html Link to comment
cteno4
The guy i know in seattle who collects speeders is part of a club that rents tracks around the country and then has meets where folks ship in their speeders and they all take off on a weekend trip with them. sounds quite fun but a rich mans hobby for sure. cheers jeff Link to comment
