CaptOblivious
We'd seen hints before, but it's official: Platz has put out a Z-scale 0-series. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10124717 It's packaged in blind boxes, so you have to collect them. They are only display pieces, but to scale, and Platz is apparently promising to bring out motorization kits in the future, ala Tomytec. Link to comment
rankodd
Gah. Who the heck wants to collect a single car out of the middle of a train. Doesn't seem like a good fit for the Japanese "Prize" model :( And, as much as I'd love a z-scale shinkansen, a promise for a motor kit isn't worth much. I'll definitely be holding off until that's available. Link to comment
rankodd
Aaand they've now posted the track worthy replacement bits. Unfortunately, the car sets themselves are sold out. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10145535 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10145536 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10145537 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10145538 Link to comment
