cteno4
Brian, its actually a ressurection of an old product line. they basically are small train sets with a steeple cab, tram, and steam train. the steam engine functions but is powered by one of the cars with one of the little two axle btrain shorty mechanisms. more on this thread http://www.jnsforum.com/index.php/topic,2720.0.html Cheers jeff Link to comment
David
One thing I found out today about the steam train set, which has the (dummy) steam engine, powered and unpowered passenger cars, a R216 loop of Unitrack and a controller/sound device - the controller run on "C" type batteries. While these are common in Japan (the Playrail stuff runs on them) they may not be easily found in your own country. Link to comment
cteno4
there is also the green stream train set w/o the track (looks very close to the Matsuyama steam tram train) http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10113309 you can only get the blue chiba steam train as the set with track it appears. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10113317 whole line http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=104&scope=1&urikire=1&andor=0&scope2=0&sortID=0&ItKey=Pocket%20Line Link to comment
Jes
Plaza Japan has them too. I really like the 'streetcar tram'. Is it modelled after any specific prototype? Link to comment
bill937ca
Another version of the freight train is being offered with a blue locomotive. Reservations at HS are open 2 Link to comment
