Guest bill937ca Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Rights of way are very narrow in Japan and cab views show you that engineers and trains frequently approach crossings almost blind as to what is waiting. When crossings do come down there may be multiple trains in quick sequence. Have a look at a couple of crossings on the Tobu Railway running out of Tokyo: Link to comment
Mudkip Orange Posted March 2, 2010 Share Posted March 2, 2010 A lot of those gates of sensors that can tell if a car runs through them, say, and will flash red lights upstream that warn train operators of an obstruction. Link to comment
