Fat Al
This is really sad news, and the poor woman was probably on her trip of a lifetime. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-10744282 Link to comment
Tecchan
How ironic, I'm swiss and this was the japanese lady from the ryokan I'm staying tonight that told me the news... I read thet the cause of the accident is not determined yet. It happened at a slow speed and the train was brand new. Link to comment
to2leo
That's too bad, I took a local train (with open windows) several years ago and the terrain was not an easy one to handle. Link to comment
westfalen
That's too bad, I took a local train (with open windows) several years ago and the terrain was not an easy one to handle. I did the same thing in 2008, had a whole coach to myself most of the time. In a few spots I remember thinking to myself that it was a good thing the track and trains were well maintained because a derailment here would not be something I would like to be in. Link to comment
