Tecchan
I was at the Sendai shinkansen depot & workshop yesterday and in the entrance hall they have a big Tomix tracks layout with all the JR East Shinkansen rolling stock. I was surprised to see on this layout an E5 Shinkansen... It must be a custom made (I was far but it looked less detailed as the production models) but still, was interesting! ^_^ (it's a bit too much banana shaped...) Personally I was a fan of the design of the Fastech but I think the E5 is far less great. The Fastech was rounded and more arrow shaped but the E5 looks like a box with a Shinkansen-wanebe nose. Even if it looks similar, the E6 looks more promising, I like the two lights on the aisles better than this single front light. Small post about this visit on my blog: http://japon.loriskumo.com/2010/07/depot-et-atelier-shinkansen-de-sendai/ 2 Link to comment
