Shinkensen E5 N gauge model

I was at the Sendai shinkansen depot & workshop yesterday and in the entrance hall they have a big Tomix tracks layout with all the JR East Shinkansen rolling stock.

 

I was surprised to see on this layout an E5 Shinkansen...

It must be a custom made (I was far but it looked less detailed as the production models) but still, was interesting! ^_^

(it's a bit too much banana shaped...)

 

 

Personally I was a fan of the design of the Fastech but I think the E5 is far less great. The Fastech was rounded and more arrow shaped but the E5 looks like a box with a Shinkansen-wanebe nose.

Even if it looks similar, the E6 looks more promising, I like the two lights on the aisles better than this single front light.

nice kitbashing. he also got the pikachu decals for the E4! was hoping to try and find those somewhere to make decals eventually.

(I hope before the end of this year, it's a really hard work to transform from raster to vector a lot of Pokemon for 200, E2, E3, E4, season 2008, 2009, and maybe 2010 - photo not yet available)
