From the front page of the national newspaper Asahi Shimbun, an advertisement for NTN roller bearings.  N700 shinkansen trainsets are equipped with with these on the wheels as well as traction motor connections.  A small ad, but nonetheless indicative of how the railway business and parts makers are, if not prominent, at least not obscure.
